First Look
It’s the end of the official summer, the weekend after Labor Day so that means it must be time to head to Tennessee. And Tennessee it is, Pigeon Forge and to be more exact Dollywood’s Splash Country for the 35th Annual Hot Rod Roundup presented by the Shades of the Past car club.
This is the home to the immensely popular Top 25, followed by the Magnificent 7, Ford Performance Best Ford in a Ford all wrapped up and around the biggie of the outdoor show world. The Street Rodder Triple Crown of Rodding Presented by Painless Performance Products and therein lies the Best Street Rod, Best Street Machine, and Best Street Cruiser sponsored by the likes of Classic Instruments, Vintage Air, Advanced Plating, ARP, Art Morrison Enterprises, Dollywood Foundation, PPG, Powermaster Performance, and Wilwood Brakes.
With incredible weather in the low to mid-70s and clear skies it couldn’t be any better than to drop by and walk about 2,500 of the coolest hot rod cars and trucks. There’s always a great 50/50 drawing (in the past winners have taken home $20,000-plus) and the amazing giveaway’32 Ford highboy roadster built by Alloway’s Hot Rod Shop featuring a number of products from throughout our industry to one lucky participant who has his, or her, number drawn from the list of all entrants and is wise enough to stick around to see if their name is picked!
